Eat a frog everyday
September 09, 2009

How has school been so far?
Have you had any tests yet?
My school is starting out fast. We started last month and have had four tests already. The biggest one was the Illinois Constitution test. It was 50 questions! It was pretty easy because we have a great history teacher. She explained everything well and gave us a good study guide. She made it easy and fun. This spring I have to take the U.S. Constitution test. She said it is 100 questions!
Tests are pretty easy for me because I have a good study habit.
Here are my study tips: Get as much work as you can in class or study hall. As soon as you get home from school, knock out your homework while it is still fresh on your mind. Study for tests as soon as you can.
There is a saying for getting things done. It is called, “Eating The Frog.” This saying comes from a book called, “Eat That Frog” by Brian Tracy. The point of the story is that two guys have to eat a frog in 30 days. One of them eats the frog immediately and moves on to better things. The other one keeps putting it off and worries about it the whole time. It is a very good book. So if you, “Eat The Frog” on homework and tests, you will never have late papers or worry about taking a test.
Oh and another tip is to buy all of you books on ebay. I do this and I never worry about taking a book home. Then when I’m done, I can sell them for about the same price. So the books can actually be free!
If you have a good homework routine, I would like to know and so will others. I may mention it in an upcoming issue. YOU can respond by sending me a message here. There are a lot of kids like us looking for fun things to do and cool places to go.
This is Ben Thayer and I’ve done that.
